Last week, four of our students embarked on a transformative journey to Boston to participate in the prestigious MITMUNC (Model United Nations Conference). This premier event brings together students from around the globe to simulate the workings of the United Nations, providing a platform to tackle pressing global issues and fostering the development of essential skills in public speaking, writing, and research. As a first entry point into international affairs and concepts, MITMUNC serves as an invaluable experience for students to engage in debates, form alliances, and explore diverse perspectives.
Preparing Future Leaders
In the weeks leading up to the event, our students immersed themselves in thorough preparations. They delved into research, refined their public speaking skills, and familiarised themselves with the diplomatic intricacies of representing different countries. The anticipation was palpable, with a mix of stress and excitement as they prepared to face the challenges that awaited them in Boston.
The MITMUNC Experience
From the grandeur of the opening ceremony to the intense committee debates and the culmination in the closing ceremony, every aspect of MITMUNC proved to be an extraordinary and unique experience.
